Paulo Rená

Paulo Rená is a PhD candidate and holds a Master’s degree in Law, State, and Constitution from the University of Brasília – UnB, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in Law and specialized in Constitutional Labor Law. He was a professor of Law, Innovation, and Technology at the undergraduate level and of Digital Law at the graduate level at the Centro Universitário de Brasília – CEUB. He is a member of Aqualtune LAB and a researcher at the Institute for Research on Internet and Society – IRIS, both NGOs that are members of Coalizão Direitos na Rede. He is a senior consultant on Public Policies for the Brazilian Chapter of the Internet Society, focusing on topics such as Cryptography and Intermediary Responsibility. He is a member of the Consultative Council of InternetLAB and the Journalism Nucleus. He is a federal public servant at the Superior Labor Court. He managed the collective elaboration process of the Civil Rights Framework (Marco Civil) for the Internet in Brasil at the Secretariat of Legislative Affairs of the Ministry of Justice.
