External audit in cases of sexual harassment
Veredas works with the pillars of compliance and the principles of restorative justice to assist organizations, companies and institutions that truly want to address sexual harassment in their work environments. So far, available solutions have been, at best, insufficient and timid or, at worst, mere reproductions of the practices they seek to combat. Most often, these solutions are superficial and almost always case-specific, designed only to respond to a particular emergency situation, without considering other possible cases or the structural root causes that led to the incident. Our strategy bifurcates into immediate responses to address specific episodes and medium and long-term solutions to fix toxic work environments. We pursue investigations of inappropriate conduct; we propose viable and impactful solutions that include restoration to victims and restoration to safe and healthy workplaces and we offer tools for leaders to monitor the effectiveness of these measures in the long run.
